PAGONXT TRADE is seeking a CLOUD DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR based in our MADRID office.

This role is part of our PagoNxt Trade Solutions team, delivering efficient trade finance, supply chain, and FX payment solutions for international SMEs.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Cloud Database Administrator, you will manage and maintain cloud-hosted databases, providing DBA services including database design, development, coding, and operational support. You will work closely with developers to design optimal, cloud-native solutions.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Stress testing database applications
• Monitoring database performance
• Performance tuning and optimization
• Backup and recovery procedures
• Database security management

Experience

• Over 5 years of experience with database clustering, mirroring, high-availability configurations, and related infrastructure
• Relevant database certifications, including AWS or Azure
• Experience migrating, deploying, supporting, and maintaining cloud databases
• Strong understanding of database security principles
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and capacity to evaluate future needs
• Effective collaboration and communication skills with IT teams

Education

• Associate degree in computer science or related IT field
