VHIR offers a vacancy for a medical, predoctoral investigator within the Pneumology Department and the Catalan Center of Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. More information about our group can be found at
Main Responsibilities and Duties
- Support the research group in COPD and alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency.
- Design protocols for clinical research.
- Collect data, including sample collections and pulmonary function tests, and collaborate on data analysis and interpretation.
- Basic sample processing.
- Include data in registries and databases.
- Prepare reports and communicate scientific results.
- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, and English (business level).
- Interest in clinical research.
- Previous experience in the AATD field.
Experience and Knowledge (Required)
- Clinical experience managing chronic respiratory diseases, especially COPD and alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency.
- Knowledge of Excel, REDCap, and database management.
- Knowledge of statistics and data analysis.
Additional Information Labour Conditions
- Full-time position : 40h / week.
- Starting date : June 2025.
- Gross annual salary : €18,180.41 during the first two years, €19,479.01 during the third year.
- Contract : Temporary.
