Position: General Ledger Accountant
You will be responsible for maintaining general ledger entries, reconciling financial statements, and ensuring data accuracy under Sox and US GAAP standards. You will work within a large organization, engaging with diverse business partners across departments and countries. This role offers an exciting opportunity to learn, implement best practices, and standardize GL tasks. It's ideal for an ambitious professional eager to learn and grow.
Responsibilities:
- Perform full financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reports.
- Manage general ledger accounting, monthly reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Support financial and tax reporting activities, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, balance sheet reconciliations, IFRS reporting, consolidation, GST/VAT, and corporate tax returns.
- Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and commentaries.
- Collaborate with Shared Services and Finance teams on accounts payable/receivable, capital expenses, and other financial matters.
- Maintain internal controls and compliance with US GAAP and IFRS through proper accounting policies.
- Liaise with auditors for audits and ensure compliance, providing necessary documentation and analysis.
- Identify and report financial and operational issues, review policies and procedures, and suggest improvements.
- Test and implement new financial systems or tools.
- Support system enhancements and automation projects.
- Perform other ad hoc accounting activities as needed.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in general accounting.
- Experience with US GAAP, IFRS, and regional exposure is advantageous.
- Big 4 experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of OneStream, revenue recognition, inventory management, SOX/internal controls, and ERP systems like Oracle and SAP is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Effective team player with analytical, critical thinking, and attention to detail skills.
