About the company:

The International Institute of DAO Deficiency is a HealthTech company specialized in nutrition, and a pioneer and leader in the treatment of DAO deficiency. It hosts the world’s largest community of DAO deficiency specialists, with the primary goal of connecting patients with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in DAO deficiency globally. Founded in 2015 in Barcelona, Spain, the Institute began by offering services in several Spanish hospitals and participating in research projects.

Recognizing the increasing global demand for specialized care, the Institute expanded its reach. In 2022, it launched an exclusive online program to build an international network of healthcare professionals specialized in DAO deficiency. Today, it is active in 27 cities across 14 countries—and still growing!

To keep strengthening this community, new application rounds are opened every six months. Healthcare professionals interested in joining the project as Licensed Members submit their applications and go through a screening process. This initiative allows for a constantly growing network of specialized professionals, providing personalized care to the many patients who need it around the world.

The Institute is committed to advancing research, education, and patient support—making a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by this metabolic disorder.

What will your responsibilities include?

Main goal: Secure licensing agreements and expand into new cities, countries, and/or markets.

Key tasks:

  • Identify, reach out to, and engage healthcare professionals (physicians, nutritionists, and psychologists) in target markets to present and sell the Licensing Program.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential partners, clients, sponsors, and key stakeholders.
  • Analyze new markets, industries, trends, and business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to run targeted campaigns aimed at healthcare professionals and patients.

Who are we looking for?

  • University degree in Health Sciences (Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biomedicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Medicine, Nutrition, etc.).
  • Desirable: Master's degree in business development, healthcare, or management-related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in similar roles or in the healthcare sector.
  • High level of Spanish and English (spoken and written).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and sales skills.
  • Ability to work independently, with strong organizational skills and initiative.
  • Willingness to work onsite at our offices in Barcelona.
