What would you need?

  1. Proven experience in AWS cloud engineering and platform engineering.
  2. Strong experience with data engineering tools and frameworks.
  3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  4. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
  5. Experience constructing ETLs, developing pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and working with AWS APIs.
  6. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  7. Experience with Databricks for machine learning and pipelines.
  8. Additional desirable skills include experience with machine learning and automation, knowledge of Snowflake, and an AWS Solution Architect certification.

What will you be doing?

  1. Design and implement AWS cloud solutions using services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and ECS.
  2. Optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and security.
  3. Develop infrastructure as code using tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
  4. Collaborate with software engineers to deploy and manage platform services and microservices on AWS.
  5. Build and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to transform and integrate data from various sources.
  6. Implement data storage solutions using AWS data services like Redshift, Glue, Snowflake, or Athena.
  7. Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
  8. Leverage Databricks for scalable data processing and analytics.
  9. Utilize machine learning services such as Databricks and SageMaker to build, train, and deploy models.
  10. Work with data teams to ensure datasets are effectively cleaned, processed, and validated for model training.
  11. Implement machine learning pipelines using Databricks.
  12. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  13. Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.
