What are we looking for?

We are seeking a Data Engineer Expert to work closely with one of our main clients in the financial sector.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with stakeholders within business and technology to understand needs and design/implement data-driven solutions.
  2. Lead workshops to prototype and understand objectives, collaborating across Global Technology Shared Services to productionize solutions.
  3. Differentiate approaches for self-service versus corporate BI solutions, including data source and ETL choices.
  4. Enhance reporting efficiency, standardize practices, and provide training for Power BI report designers and users.
  5. Act as a Power BI evangelist, stay updated on technology trends, and assess use cases and alternatives.
  6. Contribute to the Power Platform center of excellence, establishing governance structures.
  7. Assess adoption and satisfaction collaboratively with product teams, including UX specialists.
  8. Be a change ambassador with a creative approach to problem-solving.

What UST expects from you:

  • Highly skilled in data analysis, modeling, and ETL design with over 10 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Experience in performance tuning and handling large data volumes.
  • Understanding of enterprise big data architectures.
  • Extensive experience in reporting and analytics solutions, including Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, SSAS.
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Lakes, Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience with Power Platform solutions (Power Automate, Power Apps), Power BI.
  • Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio (SSDT).
  • Understanding of security models within data estates.
  • Proficiency in English (C1), working with international teams.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in building reporting governance frameworks and driving adoption.
  • Experience with SAFe methodologies.
  • Experience consuming data via APIs, Snowflake, various databases, and file formats.
  • Understanding of Data Quality approaches such as shift left.
