Juniper Group, the European arm of Vela Software (a division of CSI), headquartered in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, is expanding. We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller with strong accounting and financial expertise, particularly in sell-side or buy-side transactions, to support acquisition activities across Europe. This is an exciting opportunity within a highly active software acquisition environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, consolidate, and control the financial and administrative activities of all Juniper Group companies.
  • Monitor, analyze, and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
  • Review and analyze reports from different business units for consolidation.
  • Support internal and external audits requested by the parent company.
  • Automate processes to reduce reporting time and enhance analysis efficiency.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly budgets and monitoring variances.
  • Analyze expenses and revenues to propose improvements for revenue growth and cost reduction.
  • Support and train personnel across Juniper Group entities, including new acquisitions.
  • Require a degree in Business Administration, Economics, or similar.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
  • Native Spanish speaker and/or proficiency in financial language.
  • Knowledge of German (spoken and written) is desirable.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • Proficiency with specialized financial software.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS standards.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to produce reports in English.
  • Proactive with a capacity to propose improvements.
