Datacenter Ops Technician , DCC Communities

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Technician to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a fast-paced technology company and a leader in data center operations. The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels. This role involves hardware and network diagnostics, physical repairs, and may include participation in an on-call rotation. Candidates should be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong work prioritization, organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly. Responsibilities include hardware and network repair, equipment installation, documentation, problem-solving, and innovation within the Data Center environment. This team operates 24/7.

Key job responsibilities

• Strong experience working in a Data Center environment
• Understanding of network design, protocols, management, and troubleshooting
• Administration of storage devices
• Experience in hardware diagnostics and repair, software installation, and configuration
• Effective management of priorities and escalations through a ticketing system
• Managing technology projects, removing roadblocks, and managing ambiguity to achieve successful results
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean methodologies is a plus

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems, System Engineering, or similar

- Solid experience working in Data Centers

- Project Management Skills
