Physics Teacher

SEK International School Catalunya needs to incorporate a Physics Teacher Substitution.

Mission:

Empowering students to become inquirers, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners through the exploration of physical principles, the understanding of natural laws, the analysis of the universe's behavior, and the development of problem-solving and communication skills rooted in scientific inquiry.

Functions:

• Attend department meetings and participate in collaborative planning sessions.
• Develop and implement teaching plans for the subject, and other areas within the department.
• Take part in standardizing assessment tasks.
• Contribute to curriculum research and improvement.
• Stay updated on the IB program guides taught.

Requirements:

• Degree in Physics, Physical Sciences, or a closely related field (e.g., Engineering, Astrophysics)
• Master in Education
• Teaching experience, preferably in IB programmes (MYP and/or Diploma) in the areas of Physics
• Native speaker level of English
• Speaking Spanish and Catalan will be valued
• Microsoft Office user and experience with other educational platforms to enhance classroom dynamics.

We offer:

• Fulltime Contract: 9:30 - 17:10 h.
• Substitution contract
• Location: La Garriga - Barcelona
• Salary: according to the private schools agreement
