Senior Full Stack Engineer | React & Node.js | 100% Remote

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our software development team, focusing on building an internal cloud-based actuarial solutions platform. The ideal candidate can independently design and develop API-driven web applications from concept to deployment, with a strong emphasis on cloud-first architecture. They should have deep knowledge of programming languages, frameworks, and modern deployment practices. This role involves solving complex technical challenges and effectively communicating solutions to stakeholders and developers.

Location:

100% remote for candidates based in Spain

Requirements:

• 8+ years of software development experience
• Proficiency in full-stack tools, including frontend frameworks, databases, and deployment
• Experience with various programming languages
• Experience with Test-Driven Development
• Knowledge of database technologies (Relational and NoSQL)
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies
• Strong problem-solving skills with creativity and experience
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex topics clearly
• Fluent in English (B2+)

Must-Have Skills: Node.js, React, TDD, Relational/NoSQL databases, AWS (including Step Functions, Batch, Lambdas, ECS)

Nice-to-Have Skills: C#, Terraform, Docker/Linux Containers, Container Orchestration (ECS/Fargate), Jenkins/GitHub Actions, Azure, Groovy, Python, Shell Scripting

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaboratively build and deploy effective applications with well-tested code
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support API-based systems with a cloud-first approach
• Make timely decisions on technical challenges
• Manage tasks and timelines independently
• Support legacy systems while developing new ones
• Seek continuous quality improvements
• Mentor and coach teammates
• Perform other duties as assigned

Work Schedule: 10:00-19:00, Monday to Friday, coordinating with U.S. team hours
