Data Protection Lawyer

We are looking for a Data Protection Lawyer to join an important Project located in Madrid in Mixed job modality.

What are we looking for?

• A Data Protection Lawyer, with at least 5 years of experience.
• Availability to join a stable project in Madrid.
• Mode of telework : hybrid.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Law.
• At least 5 years of experience in law firms or corporate legal consultancy in data protection matters.
• Specific training in data protection.
• DPO certification issued by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) (or be ready to obtain the certification).
• Advanced written and spoken English.

What will your responsibilities be?

• Review of contracts, agreements, and all types of legal documents, resolution of legal queries, preparation of opinions, legal support, and advice in all phases of the business.
• Support the implementation and compliance with the Oesia Group's personal data policies, standards, and procedures.
• Conduct risk analyses on projects and new systems, as well as Impact Assessments.
• Review DPAs or clauses in contracts and documents with clients, employees, and suppliers.
• Manage the data subject rights mailbox and maintain and update records of personal data requests.
• Ensure the integration of Privacy by Design into the systems and project architecture and update the personal data processing activity log.
• Design and improve procedures, guidelines, and templates.
• Develop AI risk mitigation strategies, including unintended consequences, data misuse, and operational failures.
• Improve data privacy awareness across the organization through training and / or the writing of informational bulletins.
• Participate in the management and identification of security breaches.
