Data Oversight Consultant

At SOTEC Consulting - Astek Group, we are seeking a Data Oversight Consultant to join our team and advance their career in tech projects.

Experience: 2 years

100% remote

Mandatory Skills:

• Intermediate knowledge of structured data, relational databases (SQL), repository tools, and metadata.
• Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data risk appetite and design appropriate mitigating controls.
• Capability to create comprehensive process documentation to meet relevant requirements (e.g., SoX).
• Skill to identify data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and assess business impact of data defects.
• Proficiency in using appropriate tools to generate management and executive reports on controls and their outcomes.
• Ability to interpret complex technical information and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have:

• Ability to select suitable tools and techniques to ensure data quality in business processes and data flows.
• Knowledge of internal policies related to data (e.g., Data Management & Data Governance).

Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing controls.
• Supporting UAT testing of implemented controls.
• Ensuring controls are implemented to standards.
• Regularly updating controls documentation.
