Our client is a global segment leader in the field of sustainability and industrial machinery. Operating globally they work with multiple major Fortune 100 Businesses.

We are now looking for a dedicated and experienced Field Services Technician to join their expanding team in Madrid.

Job Profile for Field Services Technician

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to :

  • Provide installation, service and troubleshooting support on industrial machinery and automated / engineered systems at company service centres and customer facilities throughout the world
  • Conduct training for customers
  • Coordinate scheduling of service jobs
  • Ensure that safety and quality standards are met
  • Create quotes and work orders on customer service jobs as well as spare parts and accessories orders
  • Work with the Quality Manager on warranty jobs to accurately capture warranty costs, look at root cause issues and, if appropriate, pass the cost back to the supplier of a failed part
  • Promote and drive company connect services and technology
  • Act as subject matter expert on the company system and the equipment it monitors
  • Create service agreement contracts with customers and maintain executed service agreement files
  • Implement newly executed service agreement contracts
  • Use the company's tool to proactively monitor customer equipment
  • Make outbound calls to existing customers to check in on how their equipment is working
  • Stay a step ahead of customers by looking for signs that their equipment is malfunctioning and reaching out to address problems
  • Maintain a log of customer equipment issues
  • Pack and ship spare parts orders to customers
  • Provide input to the engineering / product development team on machine design, serviceability, etc.
  • Represent yourself and the Company professionally and in accordance with the Code of Conduct Policy

Candidate Profile for Field Services Technician

  • Must be fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken
  • Associate degree in a related technical field or equivalent on-the-job training
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair of industrial machinery
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel, ERP systems, and the Google suite of products
  • Excellent customer service skills that demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Available and willing to travel 25% of the time
  • Able to read technical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Expert in troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Able to effectively apply technical and logical methodologies to solve problems
  • Competent in resolving customer issues and creating value for both customers and the company in a professional manner
  • Able to prioritise critical tasks
  • Effectively schedule workload, material and parts needed to complete tasks in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of the customer
  • Adapts to and is effective in diverse international cultures
  • Motivated and dedicated to gaining knowledge that provides added value to the company
  • Treat others with sensitivity, dignity, and honesty
  • Competent in dealing with engineers and managers at customer sites
