Your candidacy is currently being considered for a requisition for an Alight Inc group company. As you may be aware, Alight has announced its intent to divest its Payroll & Professional Services business to HIG Capital. After the transaction closes, this position will be aligned with the new Payroll & Professional Services owned by HIG Capital (‘Divested Group’). By applying for this position, which will be with the Divested Group company, you understand and agree that the information submitted in your application with Alight will be shared with the Divested Group. Additionally, if you receive an offer of employment, it will be contingent upon a successful background check in accordance with the Divested Group’s employment policies.

Main Responsibilities and Delivery:

  • Support Managers with client engagement, ensuring all information is accurate and provided on time.
  • Provide support and guidance for all implementations and go-lives.
  • Provide daily functional support to the teams, supporting the successful delivery of payrolls and owning the end-to-end payroll process with necessary sign-offs.
  • Maintain the Client Solution workbook.
  • Update, maintain, and enforce the Defined Work Instructions (DWIs) and other process documentation.
  • Ensure and sign off on System Maintenance Testing.
  • Review the Statement of Works before sharing with the client to ensure its appropriateness.
  • Optimize HR administrative processes to drive efficiency and automation.
  • Liaise with customer process leads regarding process gaps, client issues, and escalation handling to maximize client satisfaction.
  • Resolve technical issues escalated from the team, ensuring all system issues/defects are reported correctly with detailed tickets and evidence for investigation.
  • Resolve functional issues escalated from the team, ensuring processes are reported and logged properly to improve workflows.
  • Collaborate with Operational Management, Transformation, and Products to implement automation, innovation, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Manage the legislation roadmap, ensuring the team is upskilled for upcoming changes and processes are updated accordingly.
  • Support Year-End processes.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Proactively identify upsell opportunities.
  • Assist management with resolving client escalations and applying lessons learned.
  • Upskill and coach team members through training to enable role fulfillment.
  • Adhere to Alight Security Standards.
  • Complete time recording accurately and on time.
  • Participate in team meetings and report issues promptly.
  • Stay updated with Alight announcements and communications.
  • Build strong relationships across lines of business where appropriate.
  • Participate in projects and activities as assigned.
  • Monitor performance based on key criteria such as SLA adherence, quality standards, and client satisfaction.

Required Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of payroll inputs and outputs, including third-party interfaces, tax compliance, and benefits.

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, following processes.
  • Academic Degree (BA/BS) in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3-4 years of relevant payroll experience in HR consulting, outsourcing, or corporate settings.
  • Expertise in payroll processes, practices, and legislation.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems like Workday, SAP, or PeopleSoft is preferred.
  • Payroll certifications.

Specific Requirements:

The AOR Benefit Services (now called Special Services) applies for Benefits at the UWV for different clients, including WAZO (Wet Arbeid en Zorg) and related Dutch regulations. Responsibilities include checking UWV decisions, reporting, calculating deductions, and processing benefits and invoices related to sick leave, WIA/WAO, ERD ZW en WGA, and other related work.
