About the role:

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Staff Product Manager to join the Payin Squad.

This role involves supporting Back Market’s transition into a new recurring revenue business model through subscriptions and leading the development of 20 payment methods across 18 markets. The ideal candidate is hands-on, data-obsessed, and detail-oriented. This is a high-visibility role with full autonomy, requiring technical and functional expertise, data proficiency, user insight, and business acumen.

Your mission (if you accept it):

  • Shape Back Market's Payment & Fraud Vision by influencing customer and seller habits towards a circular economy, collaborating with product, design, engineering, and business teams, and managing relationships with external providers like Adyen, PayPal, Checkout, ProcessOut, Ravelin, Signifyd, and others.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define roadmaps, assess technical capabilities, prioritize projects, and identify new opportunities.
  • Develop features to streamline payments and reduce vulnerability to fraud, using data analysis and market research.
  • Monitor key performance indicators related to payments and fraud, set improvement targets, and report impacts to stakeholders.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions, refine ideas, and define product scopes aligned with company growth.
  • Contribute to the Product Department's best practices and mentor team members across functions.

You are in the right place if:

  • You have over 6 years of experience in product management, especially related to payments and fraud, with additional experience in marketplace sectors a plus.
  • You are data-driven, skilled in metrics, A/B testing, and working with analytics teams.
  • You have technical expertise in payment and fraud mechanisms, understanding the provider ecosystem, payment lifecycle, and alternative payment methods.
  • You possess strong communication skills, capable of articulating strategies to senior leaders and providing clear technical specifications to engineering teams.
  • You are highly motivated, able to operate in a dynamic environment, and make decisions with limited information.
