Annotator SME (Medical / Healthcare Domain) - English (EN-GB)

Annotator SME, you will serve as a key reviewer, ensuring the accuracy and quality of annotated medical text, transcriptions, audio, and related data. Your role involves cross-checking annotations, providing feedback, and upholding compliance with project guidelines and industry standards.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

1. Annotate the clinical data from different databases.
2. Summarize physician-patient encounters, capturing clinical content with high accuracy for AI learning.
3. Work on medical transcriptions, dialogues, and clinical texts.
4. Cross-annotate and review work done by other specialists.
5. Conduct Quality Control, addressing potential issues efficiently.
6. Ensure annotation consistency across all tasks.
7. Deliver tasks meeting pre-defined KPIs, metrics, and quality standards.
8. Identify and escalate anomalies or patterns in assigned projects.
9. Maintain daily communication with the Language Lead and PM on assignments, project status, and priorities.
10. Foster a positive team environment.
11. Ensure adherence to project specifications and procedures.
12. Help improve processes, identifying gaps and suggesting solutions for optimization.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

• Background in medicine, healthcare, medical translation, or life sciences is essential.
• At least 1 year of experience in scribing, transcription, or coding in clinical documentation.
• Native English (EN-GB) speaker with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent listening skills in English (UK), with the ability to understand diverse accents and dialects.
• Experience in annotation projects, ideally within healthcare or the medical domain is a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
• Technical curiosity and experience working in different technical environments.
• High attention to detail and quality sensitivity.
• Experience in Translation, Philology, Linguistics, or related fields is a plus.
• Knowledge of clinical parameters, medical terminology, AHDI guidelines, and ontologies (ICD-10-CM, SNOMED-CT, CPT, RxNorm, LOINC) is a plus.
