Business Development Manager M&A - Mining (BASED IN SPAIN)

Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager – M&A based in Spain to drive our global expansion strategy by identifying, evaluating, and executing the acquisition of mining assets. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge, a strong deal-making background, and the ability to navigate complex transactions in diverse geographical markets.
Key Responsibilities :
- Market Intelligence & Deal Sourcing : Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets, partnerships, and investment opportunities in the mining sector globally.
- Financial & Strategic Analysis : Conduct due diligence, valuation assessments, and risk analysis to support investment decisions.
- Deal Execution : Lead negotiations, structure deals, and manage transaction processes from inception to completion.
- Stakeholder Management : Build and maintain relationships with mining companies, financial institutions, advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with legal, finance, operations, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of acquired assets.
- Industry Insights & Strategy : Monitor global mining trends, geopolitical risks, and commodity market developments to inform acquisition strategies.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Mining, Geology, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in M&A, corporate development, or business development within the mining, natural resources, or investment banking sector.
- Proven track record of successfully executing mining asset acquisitions on a global scale.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and negotiation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of mining regulations, environmental considerations, and due diligence processes.
- Experience working with multinational teams and in cross-border transactions.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
