We are currently recruiting a Senior Engineer with experience in bridges and / or structures design , to join our busy and expanding experienced team. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of projects, either as standalone bridge commissions or as part of multidisciplinary major projects.

Responsibilities :

• Serves as a bridge (rail / road) or structures lead engineer on mid-size projects supported by EC.
• Makes day-to-day decisions for a technical team, integrating resources from different EC offices (Spain, Poland, India…).
• Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts and conducts medium complex value engineering evaluations, determining alternative designs, materials, construction techniques.
• Categorizes packages of work to be done by EC, elaborates project execution plans and in combination with internal clients defines the delivery strategy, including composition of design teams.
• Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others. Approves and signs off on work.
• Accountable for the results of the team and adherence to agreed budget for a specific package of work.
• Delivers effective communication inclusive of internal clients and team members to clarify expectations and requirements.
• Trains, mentors and evaluates less experienced staff (within the Europe GDC or other GDC).

Qualifications :

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

• Proven track record of working on bridges and / or structures designs and collaborating with international and multi-cultural teams (+8 years).
• Experience with international regulations and standards (i.e AASTHO; AREMA, Aus-Codes; BS, etc.).
• Proficiency in engineering calculation software for bridge and structures (preferable Midas Civil, but others as CSiBridge are well considered).
• Proven commitment with Quality Control Policy and Quality Management System.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Master degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised University.
• US and / or Australia Professional Engineer license will be considered favourably.
