The Project Director is responsible for overseeing a program or portfolio of clinical studies or large global multicenter trials with significant budgets. The portfolio may include studies for specific clients or a group within the same therapeutic area or indication, managed across multiple regions.

Responsibilities include :

  • Managing a portfolio of projects and Project Managers to ensure studies meet client and therapeutic requirements
  • Representing the company to clients, ensuring satisfaction and effective communication
  • Ensuring studies comply with quality standards, SOPs, GCPs, and regulatory requirements
  • Overseeing contract execution and financial management of projects
  • Monitoring project progress using timelines and tracking tools
  • Maintaining therapeutic and client-specific expertise
  • Applying learnings across projects and leading risk mitigation strategies
  • Contributing to proposal development and operational strategies
  • Driving operational efficiencies and innovative strategies
  • Providing line management and leadership within Project Management

Requirements : Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; Master's preferred
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is advantageous

Experience :

  • Industry experience with several years at a CRO
  • Extensive clinical project management experience, including all phases and functional services
  • Experience managing large, multinational phase III trials across multiple regions
  • Mentoring and coaching project managers experience
  • Business development experience, including proposals and client presentations
  • Dermatology experience is a plus

Knowledge and Skills :

  • Strong knowledge of GCP, FDA, and Health Canada regulations
