PDG Media is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join the team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a sales role, preferably within the food & beverage sector or for marketing agencies.

Specialty coffee experience or knowledge of the industry and key players is a significant advantage.

PDG Media is a specialist GTM & marketing agency working in the F&B sector, with a focus on specialty coffee.

We are part of the wider PDG Global media group, which includes trade publications such as Perfect Daily Grind & Coffee Intelligence, as well as the Producer & Roaster Forum.

In 2025, we will launch a new initiative called the Global Coffee Awards.

We are offering two full-time, permanent roles to candidates based in Spain or elsewhere in Europe.

The position will be primarily remote, with occasional in-person meet-ups.

The ideal candidate will enjoy engaging with people daily, identifying key business opportunities, and strategizing to close important deals.

You will be responsible for managing the pipeline for our strategic project sales, including identifying target customers, establishing opportunities, nurturing relationships, and closing deals at the right time.

Our current and former agency clients include brands like MTPak Coffee, Hardtank, Flo-Smart, and organizations such as Guatemalan Coffees, UKAid, and Adam Smith International.

You will work closely with the COO to drive new business growth and achieve revenue targets, communicating effectively with clients at all levels to identify needs and relay information to the team.

As part of a leading coffee publishing company, your responsibilities include:

  1. Working independently to meet revenue targets based on the sales strategy.
  2. Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities for sponsorships and partnerships.
  3. Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and sponsors.
  4. Reassessing our ideal customer profile periodically.
  5. Negotiating renewals with existing clients.
  6. Coordinating with our digital projects team for project launches.
  7. Upselling to clients across our portfolio.
  8. Collaborating with the publishing team on deliverables and client needs.
  9. Participating in regular sales meetings and providing updates to leadership.

Essential qualifications include:

  1. At least 2 years' experience in a client-facing sales or account management role in the food & beverage sector or for a marketing agency.
  2. Proven track record of high-value sales, including long-term nurturing.
  3. Experience with CRM systems.
  4. Proficiency with email outreach tools (e.g., Apollo, Gong, Instantly).
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Experience in developing and executing sales strategies.

Desirable skills include:

  1. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  2. Experience with HubSpot and specialty coffee.
  3. Familiarity with lead generation tools (e.g., Clay, Snov.io, Zoominfo).
  4. Experience with G Suite and international teams.
