Junior Legal Expert at Savana

Major Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the Group’s master contracts database, including translations.
  • Review legal contractual matters affecting Group operations.
  • Assess contractual and legal issues related to software/technology services (e.g., SaaS, PaaS).
  • Support internal policies and processes related to data privacy, collaborating with other departments to identify risks.
  • Manage internal controls regarding data privacy.
  • Prepare for and assist in meetings with third parties and clients.
  • Generate and distribute reports on legal department activities.
  • Draft and manage collaboration and partnership agreements for research projects.
  • Knowledge of Privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Basic understanding of Intellectual Property matters (e.g., trademarks, patents).
  • Familiarity with contracts related to clinical research (e.g., non-interventional studies).
  • Identify cross-border legal issues.
  • Assist in daily legal and compliance management.
  • Ensure compliance with Security Policies and Procedures.
  • Report incidents or propose improvements.
  • Support Data Protection Officer (DPO) functions, including privacy policies and data rights exercises.
  • Manage compliance with CAPAs and internal controls.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Law degree and relevant legal qualification.
  • Advanced studies in IP, Data Protection, or Healthcare/Pharma regulation are a plus.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an in-house attorney or in a reputable law firm.
  • Knowledge of Intellectual Property and Healthcare regulations (EMA/FDA) is advantageous.
  • Attention to detail, results-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English (C1 level or higher).
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, multinational environment.
  • Patient, flexible, and capable of working under pressure.
  • Creative, analytical, and well-organized.
