Job Summary :
The Inventory and Demand & Supply Planning Associate is responsible for ensuring product availability through accurate demand forecasting, inventory analysis, procurement coordination, and supply planning. The role focuses on aligning inventory levels with sales targets and working capital objectives, while collaborating with internal and external teams to optimize supply chain efficiency and service levels.
Key Responsibilities :
Inventory Management & Supply Planning :
- Analyze actual SKU performance versus forecasted volumes and sales values.
- Evaluate purchasing trends and variable costs to support procurement strategies that reduce losses and optimize costs.
- Monitor procurement and replenishment efficiency and recommend continuous improvements.
- Ensure inventory levels are aligned with monthly sales targets while optimizing working capital.
Forecasting & Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) :
- Track unserved items and coordinate corrective actions with Sales and Merchandising.
- Monitor forecast performance versus actual sales and working capital budgets; flag risks and opportunities with recommended solutions.
- Implement updates and alignments based on S&OP outcomes, in coordination with Finance and other relevant teams.
Order Processing & Shipment Coordination :
- Review and coordinate the preparation of order sheets, temporary / final brochures, and sales confirmations.
- Liaise with Agents and Suppliers to finalize shipment schedules and container load quantities.
- Coordinate with Finance to validate costs and ensure optimal use of container space and shipping schedules.
- Monitor the timely and complete delivery of items, addressing any discrepancies or delays.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in inventory planning, supply chain operations, or procurement coordination.
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills, with proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Effective communicator with strong coordination skills across departments and with external suppliers.
- Able to handle multiple priorities and manage timelines effectively.
