The professional taking this position is meant to act as Site HSE Manager of the projects “Ceuta-Peninsula” and “Tenerife-Lagomera” that our Client is currently executing in Spain. She / he will ensure compliance with HSE measures in accordance with the law and Client's Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, within the assigned place or area of work. The position is site-based, overseeing activities from an HSE perspective.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Site HSE Manager, reporting directly to the Site Manager and functionally to the Project HSE Manager, has the following responsibilities :

  1. Ensure all HSE activities at project level comply with Spanish applicable laws, regulations, client requirements, and company Environmental and Safety Standards, including suppliers/subcontractors.
  2. Coordinate HSE activities and ensure compliance with company policies, working with the site team to implement HSE culture and methodologies.
  3. Assist project teams in managing subcontractors regarding HSE issues.
  4. Ensure vessel operations comply with ISM Code, SOLAS, and MARPOL regulations.
  5. Support risk management processes, including HAZID and Permit To Work systems.
  6. Facilitate incident investigations and analyze HSE data to identify trends and suggest improvements.
  7. Conduct HSE audits, inspections, and walkthroughs related to ISO 45001, 14001, and Spanish legal standards.
  8. Develop and deliver HSE training programs, promoting a safety culture among staff, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  9. Oversee the development, implementation, review, and auditing of the Company HSE Management System, in line with headquarter guidelines.
  10. Manage HSE indicators and ensure proper waste management practices.
  11. Coordinate onsite Recursos Preventivos and review subcontractors’ HSE documentation (in Spanish and English).

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Senior Technician in PRL with at least 60h Occupational Risk Prevention Training.
  • Minimum 5 years of HSE management experience in EPCI environments, including onshore, offshore construction, installation activities, and vessel operations.
  • Certified as a Recurso Preventivo.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Strong understanding of Spanish HSE regulations for civil/excavation works.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Self-dependent, flexible work behavior.
  • Business fluency in Spanish and English.
  • PREFERABLE SKILLS:
  • GWO Basic Safety Trainings (5 modules) or equivalent.
  • Experience dealing with subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of IMO regulations, SOLAS, and MARPOL.

LOCATION

  • January to September 2025: Based in Algeciras, with recurrent trips to Ceuta.
  • September to December 2025: Algeciras, Tenerife, and Lagomera.

DURATION

Mid January 2025 – December 2025.
