DESCRIPTION


Do you want to help us build the future of Amazon's EU Stores business in the Consumables division? Are you interested in working in a high-impact role with exposure to senior leaders? The EU Pets team is looking for a Vendor Manager (VM) to develop its categories and vendor relationships across the EU.


To succeed in this role, you should have strong analytical, relationship management, and organizational skills. Comfort with new technologies and a knack for analytics are essential, as you'll identify problems and create plans for resolution. Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to build positive relationships are also important.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Act as the 'business owner' for your category, understanding internal and external factors affecting your business, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting, while driving projects and promotions to meet objectives.
  2. Manage all key vendor relationships, including contracts, daily interactions, negotiations, and securing funding.
  3. Stay informed about industry trends, seasonality, and competitor developments.
  4. Identify opportunities for product selection expansion and collaborate with partners to onboard new brands.
  5. Understand customer needs and advocate for improvements to enhance the shopping experience.
  6. Coordinate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively to meet deadlines.
  7. Perform financial analyses to meet revenue and profit goals.
  8. Automate and simplify manual processes where possible.

A day in the life

  • Deep dive into financial analytics and reporting.
  • Engage with vendors to grow their businesses on Amazon.
  • Collaborate on customer growth projects.
  • Lead negotiations with vendors.
  • Partner with AVS-Brand Specialists to manage vendor relationships and execute the Vendor Growth Plan.

Our EU Pets North Star is to become the preferred destination for Pet Parents and a credible multi-specialist partner for vendors and sellers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluent in English and preferably another European language.
  • Experience with Excel.
  • Background in account management, project or program management, or buying.
  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of professional/military experience.
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-team collaboration.
  • Experience with business analysis and P&L management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL.
  • Passion for online retailing and eagerness to learn new areas.
