Exciting Opportunity : Contracts Manager (EPC) in Madrid, Spain

Are you a seasoned contract management professional with a passion for the renewable energy industry? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! My client is seeking a talented Contracts Manager (EPC) to join their dynamic team in Madrid, Spain.

The Role of the Contracts Manager (EPC)

As the Contracts Manager (EPC), you will play a crucial role in leading all contractual and commercial activities across the lifecycle of utility-scale renewable energy projects. Your primary responsibilities will include :

  • Overseeing the preparation, review, and issuance of RFQ packages for various project components
  • Managing the clarification process with bidders and ensuring timely resolution of queries
  • Conducting commercial evaluations and leading contract negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Drafting, reviewing, and executing contract documents and managing contractual modifications
  • Monitoring and managing the issuance and receipt of Bank Guarantees
  • Providing strategic support to the Construction team on contract administration and claims management

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess :

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Industrial, or related fields)
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken)
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in contract management within the renewable energy or oil & gas sectors
  • Strong understanding of contract law, risk management, procurement practices, and construction-related legal considerations
  • Proven experience leading contract negotiation and administration, including claims resolution and dispute management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • High level of autonomy, analytical thinking, and decision-making ability
  • Full Spanish Working Rights
