Job Title: Nanofabrication Facility Technician

Research area: Nanofabrication Facility and Flexible Fabrication Platform

Group/Project Description:

The Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2) seeks a talented individual to join the Nanofabrication Laboratory as a technician. The role involves operating state-of-the-art nanofabrication equipment, developing nanofabrication protocols, and supporting laboratory activities to advance research.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain laboratory equipment and cleanroom infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal operation.
  2. Conduct user training in nanofabrication techniques.
  3. Supervise laboratory activities, ensuring proper use of equipment by students and staff.
  4. Promote safety by training users and monitoring compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Education: University degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, or related field, or relevant experience such as a TFG presentation.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Familiarity with cleanroom protocols, process development for sub-micrometer structures, nanofabrication R&D, material deposition, etching, and lithography techniques (e-beam, nanoimprint, optical).
  • Personal Skills: Proficiency in English, proactive attitude, teamwork, and strong communication skills.

Conditions:

  • Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
  • Temporary contract (1 year)
