Senior Product Designer - Spain

Smith.ai has been making life easier and business better for small and medium-sized businesses since 2016. Using a “human + AI” approach, we handle inbound and outbound communication, qualifying leads, and optimizing customer funnels. Our small, fully-remote team spans the globe, with a culture that prioritizes user satisfaction and rapid iteration. (Our design and engineering teams are primarily based in Europe / CEST.) ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Senior Product Designer, you will shape and ship features of our product and internal tools, with a primary focus on growing our AI-first, human-in-the-loop Voice Assistant. (Recent examples include creating a simple yet powerful set of options for controlling AI voice conversations and building out a suite of reporting tools for AI + human performance metrics.) You’ll work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, balancing design fidelity and resourcing with business objectives. You'll be part of a small team, working collaboratively with the entire company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate : Partner with founders, Product & Ops teams, customer support, and marketing to design and implement new products / features.
• Facilitate Cross-Functional Teamwork : Initiate and focus on collaboration across engineering, marketing, support, and operations teams.
• Drive Project Execution : Oversee projects through completion and follow through with warranty work.
• Define Requirements : Contribute to product definition and requirements to shape development.
• Build the Design System : Support and grow the fledgling design system to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Document for Engineering : Record design decisions and prepare work for engineering.

EXPERIENCE

Must have

• Fluent in English, comfortable having live video conversations and presenting / discussing work. The engineering team primarily speaks Spanish, but the rest of the org operates in English.
• 5+ years in Product Design roles
• Experience in startups (Seed to Series B)
• Successful team-based remote work environment experience (e.g., Slack, Teams)
• Adept in Figma (our design tool of choice) and have used project management and development tools (e.g., ClickUp, GitHub).
• Proven success in different stages of the product lifecycle, from shaping to execution to refinement.

Nice to have

• Product management experience within B2B Product-focused organizations
• SaaS, AI / ML, or SMB-focused product experience.
• An understanding of prompt engineering, RAG, and other AI mechanisms

For that reason, you don't need one to apply; however, we do require a representation of your work in whatever format you think is appropriate that demonstrates your experience for this role. For example : a Figma file, a Notion page, a PDF, a video - something that gives us a sense of your capabilities.
