Job title : Aid granted to CITIC for the structuring, improvement, and support of research centres within the University System of Galicia, by the Regional Ministry of Education, Science, Universities, and Vocational Training, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Galicia ERDF Operational Programme 2021–2027 (Specific Objective 1.1 : To develop and enhance research and innovation capacities and to uptake advanced technologies), with a co-financing rate of 60%. Call 2023 (Order of 24 October 2023, of the Regional Ministry of Culture, Education, Vocational Training and Universities).
Research line / Scientific-technical services : General support services for the management of research, development and innovation (R&D&I).
JOB LOCATION AND SCHEDULE : CITIC, from Monday to Friday, from 9 : 30 a.m. to 1 : 30 p.m. and from 4 : 30 p.m. to 7 : 30 p.m. (35 hours per week).
The Centre for Research in Information and Communication Technologies (CITIC) comprises more than 200 researchers. Integrated within the CIGUS network, it provides researchers with high-performance computing infrastructures and specialized resources that facilitate the execution of projects in the fields of artificial intelligence, data science and engineering, high-performance computing, smart services and networks, and cybersecurity. CITIC also undertakes strategic positioning actions in the areas of internationalization, technology transfer, and innovation.
TASKS TO BE CARRIED OUT :
JUSTIFICATION OF THE DURATION OF THE CONTRACT : The duration of the contract is linked to the specific tasks outlined herein.
Having completed a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering and / or a Master's Degree in Industrial Informatics and Robotics will be positively valued.
Specific Requirements
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1. All applicants must meet the following requirements at the time of the application deadline and maintain them throughout the term of the contract :
a) Hold Spanish nationality or any other nationality to which state legislation grants equality of rights in terms of employment in the public administration.
b) Hold the required qualification and meet the rest of the requirements stated in the call.
c) Be at least sixteen years of age and not exceed, where applicable, the statutory retirement age.
d) Have the functional capacity necessary to perform the functions or tasks described in the report forming the object of the contract.
e) Not have been dismissed through disciplinary proceedings from any Public Administration or from the constitutional or statutory bodies of the Autonomous Communities. Nor be in a situation of absolute or special disqualification for public employment or office by court order, for access to the civil service body or scale or for the performance of functions similar to those previously performed, in which the person was dismissed or disqualified.
In the case of being a national of another State, it will be required that the applicant is not disqualified or in an equivalent situation and has not been subject to disciplinary sanction or equivalent that prevents, in their country and under the same terms, access to public employment.
2. The hiring of foreign persons from non-EU countries, which will be formalized for the sole purpose of carrying out research or technical tasks, will require, at the time of signing the contract, the presentation of a residence permit and authorization to work as an employee, or proof of the concurrence of a cause for exemption from such authorization, in accordance with the provisions of Organic Law 4 / 2000, of January 11, on the rights and freedoms of foreigners in Spain and their social integration.

Eligibility criteria
SELECTION CRITERIA :
Having completed a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering and / or a Master's Degree in Industrial Informatics and Robotics will be positively valued. The merits claimed by the participants must be documented and must be fulfilled at the end of the application submission period.
Only merits related to the profile of the position will be evaluated.
The position will be declared vacant if no candidate obtains a minimum of 30 points according to the following scale; and a waiting list will be created with the candidates who exceed said score.
The interview score will not be considered for inclusion in the waiting list.
The average grade of the qualification required to apply for the position will be evaluated, up to 25 points (e.g. average grade of the completed bachelor’s or master’s degree).
If the qualification submitted is a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering, it will be fully valued. If it belongs to any other field, it will be valued at 5% of the qualification obtained according to its average grade.
B. Additional specific training related to the specific profile applied for : up to 15 points.
b) Courses related to the position profile : 1 point per 50 hours (maximum 5 points per course).
C. Knowledge of the English language : up to 10 points.
D. Specific professional experience : up to 10 points. 1 point per month in positions related to the vacancy.
E. Research experience in joint units and projects : up to 15 points.
a) Previous experience in joint research units formed by companies and research organizations : 1 point per month worked up to a maximum of 10 points.
b) Previous experience in the development of R&D projects in the field of the contract’s subject : 5 points per European project, 4 national and 3 regional (up to 10 points).
F. Personal interview : the adequacy of the curriculum vitae to the job position will be evaluated. Up to 25 points. Candidates with the highest scores in the previous items who have obtained at least 5 points will be interviewed (only the top three candidates).
Failure to attend the interview will be cause for exclusion of the summoned candidate. Candidates will be summoned to the interview at least 48 hours in advance.
