IT Business Engineer mfd

For REWE digital Spain, a subsidiary of REWE Group located in the Technological Park of Andalusia (PTA) in Malaga, we are looking for an IT Business Engineer.

They will join the Product Layout Management team and support the creation of the Store Layouting business area, which involves the overall concept, division, sizing, design, and placement of merchandise displays within stores.

As the central solution provider for information and telecommunications systems, we develop, configure, and operate efficient systems for the REWE Group, a leading trade and tourism group in Germany and Europe with around 390,000 employees.

Our team of over 2,200 IT specialists sets standards in retail IT implementation and develops new technologies. We manage more than 80 logistics centers and over 23,000 local network connections, ensuring continuous data flow to 32,000 checkout counters across 7,300 stores.

What you will do:

1. Collect information, analyze data sources, engineer requirements, and consult stakeholders.
2. Analyze current business processes and design new processes to optimize workflows.
3. Document business processes supported by the product.
4. Research, develop, and visualize solutions and concepts.
5. Maintain continuous communication with stakeholders and align expectations with project capabilities and technology solutions.
6. Perform post-implementation analysis and implement continuous process improvements.
7. Work closely with the Test Manager on test management, designing test cases, and performing/testing documentation.
8. Design and align support processes with the team.
9. Analyze incidents and initiate corrective measures.
10. Collaborate with an agile product team on Google Cloud Platform (serverless environment).

What you will bring:

• Degree in Computer Sciences or a related field, or equivalent experience in software development.
• Several years of experience in requirements engineering for IT products and using analytics tools for business.
• Agile mindset and experience working in cross-functional agile teams.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira or Confluence.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a desire to continue learning.
• Complete fluency in English.
• Residency in Spain, valid work permit/VISA (without sponsorship), and ability to visit our Malaga office approximately twice a month.

Nice to have:

• Experience with SQL or other relational databases.
• Knowledge of Cloud Platforms.
