ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a Construction Manager to be part of our Germany-based team to manage the construction of our ongoing project in Hamburg.
ABOUT YOU
Don't hesitate to apply if you have:
- MSc Civil Engineer, MSc Structural Engineer, or MSc Mechanical Engineer with a CM background in industrial projects (Chemical plants, crushing plants, assembly plants, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience in Construction Management activities in Germany
- Over ten (10) years of experience in the industry acting as CM
- Highly valued experience designing or implementing EPCM projects or PMC services
- Good knowledge of building regulations and standards in Germany
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Advanced knowledge of construction in the German market
- Fluent in English (C1) and German (C1-C2)
Responsibilities
- Project management: Oversee the entire construction process from planning to completion, including creating project plans, coordinating construction teams, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with building regulations.
- Budget and resource management: Monitor the budget and control expenses, optimize resource allocation to minimize costs while ensuring quality.
- Quality control: Ensure compliance with regulations and standards, conduct inspections, and implement corrective actions.
- Communication and collaboration: Act as the interface between stakeholders, communicate progress, and coordinate all parties involved.
- Risk management: Identify risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, preventing delays or cost overruns.
- Documentation: Maintain all relevant project documents such as reports, records, contracts, and permits.
- Assume legal responsibility as Bauleiter of the project in Germany.
Your role is vital in ensuring the successful implementation of the project, completing it on time, within budget, and with high quality. You will lead the construction phase, coordinate teams, and provide technical solutions for our client, a well-known global company.
