Join our team as a HV Technician and contribute to maintaining and improving the infrastructure at MacIntyre Wind Farm while ensuring safety and operational efficiency.

Job Description

  1. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Balance of Plant (BOP) infrastructure.
  2. Engage in high voltage (HV) switching operations and maneuvers.
  3. Participate in shutdown and project planning.
  4. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies. Supervise and audit contractor work.
  5. Collaborate with the Central Support team for technical improvements.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Trade certificate in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines.
  • Valid QLD “A Grade” Electrical License (beneficial).
  • 3 to 5 years of post-trade qualifications.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., First Aid Level 2, Working at Heights).
  • Ability to travel and participate in a call-in roster.

In compliance with Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act 2018, this role is defined as a critical worker and labelled at ACCIONA Energia as a Privileged Access Worker (PAW).

Privileged Access Workers (PAW's) are required to obtain satisfactory results from ACCIONA's Suitability Assessment prior to commencement, as part of our standard pre-employment checks.
