Offer Description About CRAG :

CRAG is an independent research institution engaged in leading-edge basic and applied plant and farm animal sciences. It is a consortium of CSIC, IRTA, UAB, and UB, located at the UAB Campus with 200 members worldwide.

Responsibilities :

The candidate will analyze the impact of phosphorus nutrition on disease resistance in rice, including :

• Analysis of Pi content in rice tissues
• Phenotypical and physiological responses to Pi treatment and pathogen infection
• Gene expression analysis
• Metagenomic analysis of rice tissues and soil samples

This work is part of the project titled "PROYECTOS DE GENERACIÓN DE CONOCIMIENTO" (code PID2021-128825OB-I00).

Educational Requirements :

Degree in Biology; a Master in Plant Biology, Genomics, and Biotechnology is a plus.

Skills :

Familiarity with plant molecular biology and phytopathological techniques.

Experience :

Previous experience in plant nutrition and plant-microbe interactions.
