Overview

The advisory body serves as a resource and liaison to the Board of Supervisors, the Community Development Agency, the Planning Commission, and the community. Its primary role is to review and comment on discretionary land use and zoning applications, as well as community plan amendments within the Tamalpais Planning Area, which includes Tamalpais Valley, Homestead Valley, Almonte, Muir Woods Park, and Tennessee Valley.

Membership

  • All TDRB members must reside within the Planning Area.
  • A non-resident Architect with relevant expertise may serve if recommended by the TDRB; only one such non-resident Architect may serve at a time.
  • Efforts should be made to select technically-qualified individuals representing various neighborhoods and disciplines, such as Architects, Construction or Design Professionals, Real Estate Agents or Brokers, Landscape Architects, Designers, Contractors, Engineers, and Local Business Owners.

Terms and Members

  • Members serve 3-year, staggered terms.
  • The Board consists of five members.

Stipend Information

Starting October 1, 2022, stipends are available for members who self-certify as having household income below the County's self-sufficiency standard. For details or to apply, visit the Board Stipends Program Webpage.

Meetings
