The advisory body serves as a resource and liaison to the Board of Supervisors, the Community Development Agency, the Planning Commission, and the community. Its primary role is to review and comment on discretionary land use and zoning applications, as well as community plan amendments within the Tamalpais Planning Area, which includes Tamalpais Valley, Homestead Valley, Almonte, Muir Woods Park, and Tennessee Valley.
Starting October 1, 2022, stipends are available for members who self-certify as having household income below the County's self-sufficiency standard. For details or to apply, visit the Board Stipends Program Webpage.
