About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, as the People & Culture Coordinator, you will support the daily operations of the department, ensuring employee well-being and fostering a positive work environment. You will assist with maintaining personnel records, managing compensation, and supporting recruitment, selection, and training processes.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Supporting recruitment and hiring processes : sourcing candidates, posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting assessments, and coordinating onboarding.
  • Organizing employee engagement activities : planning and executing employee engagement events and recognition programs.
  • Supporting daily HR operations : ensuring smooth daily activities focused on employee well-being and a positive work environment.
  • Maintaining open communication with colleagues : addressing their needs efficiently and promoting an inclusive, collaborative atmosphere.
  • Managing personnel records & assisting in compensation & benefits administration : keeping records up to date, tracking employment changes, and monitoring compensation and benefits information.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and security of personal and HR data in compliance with privacy standards.

Qualifications and experience we seek :

  • Degree in Psychology, Labor Relations, Law, or related field, with HR specialization.
  • Previous experience in People & Culture, preferably in luxury hospitality, is a plus.

Technical skills required :

  • Knowledge of recruitment processes, conducting interviews, evaluating candidates, and using recruitment platforms.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Effective communication skills in Spanish, Catalan, and English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience with HR management software (e.g., SAP HR, Workday, ADP, BambooHR).
  • Understanding of payroll and compensation processes.
  • Knowledge of Spanish Labour Legislation is a plus.
