Reporting to the Group Chief Finance Officer, the Finance R&D Manager is responsible to lead and oversee all financial activities related to research and development (R&D) and tax deductions. This role is critical to ensuring the company's financial stability, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth, ensuring compliance with regulations and the accuracy of financial information, and directing accounting operations. The role will have a dotted line to the Group Chief Commercial Officer and Finance Director Iberia.
Main responsabilities

The Finance R&D Manager is expected to be a role model of integrity and high ethical standards.
Financial Planning and budget preparation : Develop and manage R&D budgets, forecasts, and investment cases with a focus on ROI and portfolio optimisation. Income from all contracts and products that provide services to the operational area, and all expenses related to the area.
Risk Management : Assess and manage the financial risks associated with R+D projects.
Tax Deductions : Identify and apply tax deductions related to R+D activities to optimize the company's tax burden. Preparation and monitoring of procedures to monetize deductions.
Financial Analysis : Perform detailed analyses of the costs and benefits of R+D projects. Prepare financial analysis for new tenders (BIDs)
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure that all financial activities comply with tax laws and regulations.
Financial Management Reporting : Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management.
Audit Follow up : interaction with the group's accounting auditors
Personnel Supervision : Lead and supervise the financial team, including accountants and financial analysts.
Operate in full compliance with legislation, company policies, and Group processes, ensuring accurate system bookings.
Uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethics, acting as a role model for the organization.
Bachelor's, Finance or similar preferred.
At least 5 years’ experience in strategic or financial roles,
Experience working cross-functionally in complex, matrixed organisations.
Strong understanding of R&D project lifecycles, IP strategy, and technology readiness levels (TRLs) is an advantage.

Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations, especially in deductions for R+D.
Skills : Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills. Proficiency in financial management software. Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and commercial evaluation skills

Effective in motivating teams, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and addressing critical situations with innovative solutions.
In-depth knowledge of tax law : It is essential to understand tax laws and regulations, especially those related to R+D deductions
Financial analysis : Ability to perform detailed analyses of the costs and benefits of R+D projects
Risk Management : Assess and manage the financial risks associated with R+D projects
Leadership : Lead and motivate the finance team, ensuring high productivity and cohesion
Effective communication : Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of the organization, including senior management and investors
Strategic planning : Develop and oversee the company's financial strategy, with a long-term vision
Knowledge of financial technology : Staying on top of the latest technologies and automation tools to improve the efficiency of financial processes
Adaptability : Ability to manage change and adapt to changes in the industry and business environment
