Offer Description

The objective of this contract is to collaborate in research to improve participatory and sustainable management of the Miñarzos Marine Reserve of Fishing Interest (Carnota) through a digital tool based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms.

Candidates must have a Baccalaureate, BUP, FPII, or higher-level training cycle.

Eligibility criteria

The following merits will be assessed and scored :

  • Knowledge of Matlab, Python, R, and / or C++ (advanced level) : evaluated based on hours of creditable training (0.5 points per 10 hours) and degrees (5 points per degree in Computer Engineering). Max 30 points.
  • Knowledge of spoken and written English : demonstrable, 1 point per level from A2 to C2. Max 5 points.
  • Work experience in software development : 2 points per month. Max 20 points.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence : evaluated based on training hours (max 15 points) and project work (max 20 points). Includes a correction factor based on relevance to AI.
  • Personal interview : maximum 25 points.

Selection process

Applications should be submitted via UDC online services, addressed to the Office of the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Transference, including the call reference. Deadline : 5 working days after the call is published on the official bulletin board.

The selection committee includes at least 3 members and 3 reserves, with members such as Pablo Pita Orduna, Verónica Bolón Canedo, and Manuel F. González Penedo. Results will be published on the official bulletin board.

Additional comments

Applicants must submit a detailed application following the specified merit sections and format. CVs must adhere to the prescribed format for assessment. A merit-based priority list will be established, with the highest scorer being selected. A waiting list will also be created, with a minimum score of 15 points (excluding interview score), to cover vacancies or replacements.
