Tax Accountant

About the Role :

As a Tax Accountant youll play a crucial role in our finance team reporting directly to the Finance Director. Your responsibilities will include a variety of financerelated tasks such as preparing financial records integrating Joint Ventures when needed computing taxes and preparing tax returns.

Key Responsibilities :

• Timely Preparation : Ensure local statutory accounts and tax returns are prepared on time.
• JV Integration : Integrate Joint Ventures into Oracle and present detailed reports on the companys JV situation to senior management.
• Tax Returns : Prepare federal state local and international tax returns.
• Tax Strategies : Develop strategies to optimize tax obligations and ensure compliance with tax laws.
• Financial Analysis : Analyze and review financial data to identify tax savings and opportunities.
• Research : Conduct research on tax laws and regulations staying updated on changes and developments.
• Collaboration : Work with internal and external auditors during financial and tax audits.
• Advisory Role : Maintain relationships with external advisors and advise managers on the impact of new laws on tax liabilities.
• Best Practices : Develop and implement best practices for tax and accounting processes and procedures.

Qualifications :

• Educational Background : Bachelors degree in Accounting is required; a Masters in Taxation is a plus.
• Experience : Minimum of 8 years in a similar role preferably in a multinational environment.
• Technical Skills : Experience reporting under US GAAP and proficiency with Oracle and SAGE50.
• Language Skills : Fluent in both English and Spanish with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Personal Attributes : Autonomy accountability and a proactive approach to work.
