Job Description:

Are you ready to take ownership of core compliance controls in a dynamic and growing business?

Join our Compliance team at Vontobel Swiss Financial Advisers AG in Zurich, where we serve U.S. clients with a unique cross-border wealth management offering. We’re looking for a senior, hands-on compliance professional who thrives in a flexible, collaborative environment and wants to make an impact across compliance, IT, and operational functions.

What would your role be?

  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the compliance control framework, ensuring timely delivery and strong regulatory alignment.
  • Draft, review, and update internal policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with Swiss AML, KYC, CDB rules, and sanctions compliance requirements.
  • Act as the key compliance contact for operational development and Swiss regulatory change projects, including participation in IT-led initiatives.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in system-supported processes (e.g., Avaloq, CLM tools) and support enhancements that promote compliance efficiency.
  • Conduct compliance reviews, internal controls testing, and support regulatory reporting and remediation activities.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders including front office, operations, legal, and IT, bringing a solution-oriented approach in a small, high-impact team.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a compliance or regulatory advisory role within the Swiss financial industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of Swiss AML regulations, the CDB framework, KYC obligations, and sanctions regimes.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft high-quality compliance policies and design operational control processes.
  • Practical experience with Avaloq or other client lifecycle management systems is essential.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is a plus.
  • Flexible, proactive team player, comfortable working across strategic and hands-on operational tasks in a small team environment.
  • Strong project coordination skills, particularly in cross-functional and IT-driven contexts.
  • We are looking for talented people, not just a CV that ticks all the boxes. Even if you do not have absolutely everything we have asked for, if this role sounds like a good fit for you, we encourage you to apply.

What do we offer?

  • Top Zurich location with collaboration spaces (including rooftop terraces) and free lunch.
  • Friendly, diverse team in an open-office space.
  • All the latest technology to help you excel and advance.
  • Agile environment in how we think, the way we work and our trust for each other.
  • Flat hierarchy with collaboration at all levels.
  • Campus feeling and a collaborative spirit.

We are looking for talented people, not just a CV that ticks all the boxes. Even if you do not have absolutely everything we have asked for, if this role sounds like a good fit for you, we encourage you to apply.
