Project Engineer - Aseptic Filling Lines

To join our Life Sciences team in Neuchâtel, we are looking for a Project Engineer - Aseptic Filling Lines (F/M).

The Project Engineer specialized in aseptic filling lines is responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of aseptic filling systems to ensure efficient production in compliance with quality and safety standards.

The project :

  • Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and lead installation or renovation projects of aseptic filling lines from the design phase through to production startup, adhering to set timelines and budgets.
  • Technical Design: Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to develop technical solutions tailored to the aseptic production needs of the company.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all installations and procedures comply with strict regulatory standards such as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA (Food and Drug Administration), or EMA (European Medicines Agency).
  • Training and Supervision: Train and supervise technical teams on new installations or technical modifications, ensuring an effective transition and skill development.
  • Maintenance and Continuous Improvement: Establish preventive and corrective maintenance protocols for aseptic filling equipment and propose improvements to increase production efficiency and quality.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with the R&D, quality, production, and maintenance departments to ensure an integrated and optimized approach to production processes.

  • Engineering degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, industrial pharmacy, or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or food industries.
  • Expertise in aseptic filling technologies and associated regulatory standards.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Strong team management and effective communication skills.
  • High analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Fluent in French and English.

  • Oversee and update MBRs based on manufacturing changes.
  • Participate in MBR design workshops and informal test runs.
  • Support and execute MBR verification protocols.
  • Provide HyperCare during site go-live and assist with end-user training.
  • Support MES validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).

As MBR Designer:

  • Ensure MBR accuracy and compliance with manufacturing processes.
