Senior iOS Engineer

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams of talented engineers to define, design, and develop new features for our next-generation applications. You will be responsible for designing and developing top-notch applications for the iOS platform, including unit testing for robustness, usability, and reliability. It is essential that you work in a timely and scalable manner while ensuring strong optimization.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead the development of iOS applications, writing high-performing, scalable, and reusable code.
• Maintain and refactor the application codebase.
• Design, implement updates, and optimize apps.
• Implement new features and maintain existing functionalities.
• Discuss and align on best practices with team members.
• Collaborate with colleagues to solve complex issues.
• Work with designers and business analysts to clarify requirements.
• Investigate performance issues, ensure quality, and improve UI responsiveness.
• Automate repetitive tasks through Continuous Integration to improve efficiency.
• Share expertise during code reviews and refinement sessions.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Leverage experience with Kotlin Multiplatform or Kotlin/Java stack for cross-platform development.

This position can be based either in Zurich or Bioggio.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in iOS app development using Objective-C and Swift across multiple frameworks.
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform or strong background in Kotlin/Java.
• Experience with continuous integration, clean code principles, and TDD.
• Proficiency with code versioning tools, iOS design principles, interface guidelines, and back-end services.
• Ability to write readable, refactored code and adhere to Apple’s design principles, DDD, and best practices.
• Knowledge of iOS SDK versions and libraries.
• Experience connecting iOS apps to back-end services, third-party libraries, SVN/Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, Confluence, and JIRA.
