Front-End Developer (Remote)

Job role and responsibilities:

As part of a cross-functional team including our web lead developer, database engineer, and app developer, you will contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of our website. This is a dynamic role involving front-end development, with a primary focus on delivering engaging, modern user experiences. Your main responsibilities will include:

1. Developing and supporting clean, W3C-compliant front-end code that aligns with stakeholder specifications, prioritizing web standards, semantics, usability, accessibility, and performance optimization.
2. Building adaptive web pages for desktop, tablet, and mobile using custom CSS solutions and frameworks like Bootstrap.
3. Supporting and implementing interactive musical instruments using JavaScript.
4. Implementing analytics tagging to ensure accurate data capture.
5. Collaborating on the selection and implementation of development tools, technologies, and processes.
6. Serving as a key point of contact for technical projects across teams — participating in requirement gathering, execution, and deployment phases.

What we require from you:

1. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
2. Proficiency in JavaScript with the ability to deliver custom solutions tailored to stakeholder needs.
3. Solid understanding of SEO best practices and their implementation in web development.
4. Familiarity with performance optimization tools such as YSlow and Google PageSpeed Insights.
5. Strong working knowledge of Git for version control.
6. Excellent English communication skills — precise, open-minded, and solution-oriented. A proactive and collaborative approach is highly valued.
7. Experience with AWS CloudFront and S3 is a plus but not required.
8. Experience with Laravel's Blade templating engine is a plus but not required.
