Your Purpose

The Head of OBR Procurement is responsible for overseeing all procurement activities related to goods and services for the Onboard Revenue Department. The role will be also part of the Global Procurement Lead team and collaborate with the other categories leads on developing a best in class function. This includes negotiating contracts and securing favourable terms for a range of onboard services such as excursions, spa treatments and retail experiences.

The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of procurement processes within the travel, cruise, or hospitality industry.

Your Impact

• Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations with vendors and suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions for goods and services.
• Vendor Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of products and services.
• Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the department's objectives and enhance onboard revenue, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Cost Management: Monitor and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Work closely with the corporate procurement department to ensure all OBR procurement activities comply with company policies and legal requirements, mitigating risks associated with procurement.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze supplier performance, addressing any issues or areas for improvement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other department heads to understand their needs and ensure procurement supports overall business goals.
• Define a comprehensive, multiyear OBR category strategy program.
• Deliver the OBR Portfolio performance targets, in cooperation with the other OBR leaders.
• Drive effective localization of sourcing by coordinating with local teams and lead supply chain optimisation of the Global OBR Portfolio.
  
  

Your Journey so far

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Procurement and supply chain within the travel, cruise, or hospitality industry.
  
  

Your Essentials

• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills, comfortable with stakeholder management in a matrix organization.
• Proficiency in procurement software tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Jagger)
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, both technical teams and business users
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced commercial environment.
• EU Passport or right to work in Switzerland.
