Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC’s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management fulfills its purpose of connecting HSBC’s clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.

What you will do:

The role holder will have extensive interaction with external Swiss asset managers, Fund of Fund managers, Private banks and Wealth managers, Multi Family Offices, and Unit Linked in French-speaking Switzerland. Additionally, the role involves identifying client business areas to engage for generating opportunities, including AMG functions of product, investments, client strategy, and the Swiss Sales team across all segments.

In this role you will:

  • Provide specialist experience on AMG’s Active and Alternative Fund range, identifying sales opportunities to meet specific Swiss client needs in Romandie and managing from identification to sale.
  • Develop deep and broad relationships with Swiss clients across Banks, Multi Family Offices, and Unit Linked Insurance to enhance HSBC’s franchise and generate value-added business.
  • Gain a strong understanding of Active Fund management and Alternative products, collaborating with the HSBC AMG sales team (Passive/Institutional, Client Service, Marketing).
  • Participate proactively in marketing the Active Fund range, working with the client proposition team and product strategists to create high-quality sales materials.

Requirements:

  • A self-starter and highly motivated; able to work independently and within a global team.
  • Deep experience in asset management sales.
  • Proven track record of raising assets and managing client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of investment products and capital markets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Existing network of wholesale clients is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in French and English; German is an asset.
  • Professional qualifications/certifications like CFA, IMC are positive but not mandatory.
  • The role involves client interaction, and the candidate may need to obtain regulatory certifications.
  • Due to immigration restrictions, applications from Swiss, EU citizens, or those with a valid Swiss work permit will be considered.
