Job Description:
Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Manager, Data Asset Owner as part of our Data Strategy and Operations team.
As we are building out our Data Strategy and Operations organization as part of our Value Chain Management organization in the Innovative Medicine Supply Chain, we are creating this role as part of our Data Analytics Team. The Senior Manager, Data Asset Owner will own common data assets used by multiple business domains in IMSC. The role will ensure these data assets are FAIR, trusted, and used effectively. Responsibilities include overseeing data assets within the Supply Chain data framework, supporting end-user community data utilization, building and maintaining business metadata, managing the data catalogue, improving data quality, and ensuring accurate data lineage throughout creation and consumption phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and steward data assets to ensure they are FAIR, trusted, and used
- Understand gaps between business needs and technical capabilities
- Create business blueprints in collaboration with Data design leaders based on requirements
- Define and monitor data asset quality rules and thresholds
- Support technical deployment of data assets
- Oversee data asset lifecycle management activities
- Ensure effective use of existing data structures
- Enable data-driven insights for business advantage
- Strive for data excellence to create value for business domains
- Rationalize data characteristics, APIs, review, and retirement policies
Qualifications - External
Education:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree required
- Preferred focus in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related field
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- Minimum five (5) years of work experience
- Expertise in data management, governance, data quality, and metadata principles
- Proficiency with data management tools and technologies (e.g., Data catalogue, data lake house)
- Knowledge of regulatory data requirements (e.g., GxP, HIPAA, SOX)
- Deep understanding of supply chain operations, processes, rules, and data needs
- Strong background in supply chain data systems such as SAP S/4
- Experience in leveraging data capabilities for business value
- Stakeholder management skills and ability to translate requirements into data models
- Experience managing data stewardship projects
Preferred:
- Experience in Pharmaceuticals or Healthcare industries
- Ability to align data initiatives with organizational goals
- Adaptability to emerging technologies
- Analytics skills and strategic thinking
- Leadership with purpose and urgency
