Software Test Engineer

We are looking for an experienced test engineer to join our quality control team at Swiss-Aviation Software. Tasks

• Definition of test strategies and managing test plans suitable for the assigned product modules / mobile applications.
• Design, implement, and execute manual and automated test scripts.
• Carry out functional and user acceptance testing to ensure that high-quality standards are achieved at all times for all software releases.
• Coordinate and execute test activities within the assigned development team and coordinate with other development teams.
• Design, develop, execute, and document functional tests related to the assigned business area.
• Daily review of the assigned test suites and reporting regressions
• Contribute to improving testing procedures, tools, and strategies.
• Contribute to continuously improving test automation methods and tools.
• Support product development in embedding quality in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle

Skills

• Degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, or a similar scientific subject; or comparable experience
• 3+ years’ experience in software testing, including knowledge of testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Good knowledge of technical aspects of software architecture (low level frameworks, authentication, access rights, networking, security, reporting, etc.)
• Experience in automation for both UI and API tests.
• Experience with GIT and continuous integration (Jenkins or similar).
• Java / Python coding skills (or similar languages).
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Effective teamwork and good interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly proactive, independent, and able to work under pressure.
• Driven and motivated to meet targets.
