Job Description
Context
This internship is part of Cartier Joaillerie's strategic objectives to better adapt to market demand by becoming more agile, notably through reducing stocks and delivery times, supported by a Lean Manufacturing organization and maintaining our scale.
How will you make an impact?
The role involves the following missions:
- Mapping of production flow VSM and defining action plans to eliminate non-value-added activities and optimize throughput times (cadencing, workstation balancing, SMED, reduction of non-value-added activities, etc.).
- Structuring performance management across departments (production, logistics, digital, etc.) by proposing governance, KPIs, and supporting users.
- Implementing 5R practices in production workshops.
- Creating Business Intelligence reports (PowerBI) with relevant departments to support performance initiatives.
- Deploying TPM methods to enhance machine lifespan and efficiency (TRS, preventive maintenance, tooling costs).
- Managing the end-to-end flow of precious stones to reduce stocks and optimize the process of line-side delivery.
- Improving quality control processes by implementing SPC (or APC) and enhancing sampling policies in collaboration with Innovation teams.
What are the keys to your success in our company?
We are looking for an engineering student specializing in industrial engineering, seeking a final or gap year internship. You should have a passion for the jewelry industry, be autonomous, organized, proactive, and enjoy working in diverse teams. You are proactive, proficient in Lean Manufacturing tools, and skilled in common IT tools such as Excel and PowerPoint, with an interest in digital tools like PowerBI.
