Our team in Haag, Switzerland, is looking for you:

Project Manager Engineering

As a member of the Business Unit Advanced Industrials, you will be responsible for developing products for the global vacuum market. These products are, for example, key components in power generation and storage (e.g., solar, nuclear fusion), in research of the smallest and largest structures in the universe (e.g., accelerators, gravitational waves), or in measurement technologies (e.g., electron microscopes, mass spectrometers).

You will lead product development efforts in collaboration with product managers, development engineers, supply chain specialists, and quality engineers to achieve technical and commercial success.

Your Challenges

• Initiate and lead technology and product developments, modifications, customer-specific adaptations, cost reductions, or localizations
• Conduct feasibility and concept studies in collaboration with product management during quoting processes
• Understand and apply agile, Scrum, and lean principles appropriately
• Manage all product development phases from idea/concept to industrialization (stage-gate process) in an agile manner
• Report project status to VAT innovation boards, covering scope, budget, quality, and timeline
• Coordinate interdisciplinary teams from product management, engineering, supply chain, and quality to ensure market requirements are fully met
• Support installations at customer sites

Your Competencies

• You should be passionate about leading as a project manager in product and technology development
• Have completed education in mechanical engineering, precision engineering, mechatronics (bachelor, master, or equivalent)
• Possess the ability to handle complex projects in a structured way according to established processes
• Have good communication skills in German and English (written and spoken)
• Be willing to travel internationally (up to 10%)

Advantages include:

• Completed advanced training in project management and/or business administration
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies or rapid prototyping
• Experience in product development for high-quality applications (e.g., nuclear, medical, automotive)

Additional knowledge in vacuum technology or quality engineering methodologies (e.g., RCCA) is a plus.
