Senior Accountant

Main activities

It is a key role in the digital transformation of the finance function, combining technical and accounting expertise.

• Drive process improvements and digital transformation, enhancing accounting workflows.
• Configure and optimize data to automate invoice reading and entry.
• Define and structure the workflow from purchase to payment.
• Optimization of accounting processes by eliminating redundant data entry and integrate digital tools.
• Stay up to date with technological advancements and propose process enhancements.
• Manage the full accounts payable cycle from invoice reception to payment, including account reconciliation and archiving.
• Capitalize fixed assets per function, perform monthly depreciation, documentation, disposal, and impairment losses.
• Handle the tax cycle including VAT and corporate taxes.
• Reconcile and control payroll journal entries, including various provisions.
• Perform monthly and annual closing within the assigned scope of responsibility.
• Integrate, control, and consolidate the Group's holding company, including the reconciliation of intercompany transactions.
• Participate in annual audits.
• Continue the improvement of financial closing processes and periodic reporting in place.
• Actively contribute to the implementation and execution of internal control procedures.
• Participate in various improvement projects for the Finance department.

Your profile

• Educational background : Bachelor's degree, a Federal Accounting Certification, or an equivalent qualification
• Required experience : At least 5 years of proven experience in an accounting role with a digitalisation expertise preferably in an international mid-sized company
• Strong knowledge of financial applications (e.g. SAP Business One) and office software
• Professional proficiency in French and English
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
