Job Description

We are seeking an engineer to architect, design, program, and deliver innovative industrial solutions for internal manufacturing, specifically quality control systems.

The role involves building comprehensive computer software applications based on high technology control frameworks and leading projects with an agile development approach, collaborating with internal technical teams and external subcontractors worldwide.

Responsibilities

Service (~20%)

  • Ensure the availability and reliability of applications and systems, provide support during go-live, troubleshoot local production lines with a customer focus, and maintain hardware and software evolutions.
  • Implement new functionalities on existing portfolios following the full SDLC process.

Service

  • Maintain active production systems and software applications, ensuring their continuous operation and reliability.
  • Identify and implement improvements and functional evolutions.

Development

  • Deliver new systems and applications from conception to deployment, including defining, designing, programming, testing, and documentation.
  • Contribute to team skill enhancement and provide innovative solutions.

Projects

  • Act as project manager, taking ownership to achieve project objectives regardless of complexity.
  • Participate in cross-functional global projects focused on continuous improvement.

Education & Experience

  • HES engineer certification in Microtechnic (Electronic & Industrial Automation or Embedded Systems) preferred.
  • Interest and knowledge in modern C++/C programming and UML, with an understanding of software architecture (Object-Oriented Programming).
  • Experience in project management and leading end-to-end software development initiatives, with the ability to manage solutions across multiple technologies and systems.
  • Extensive experience with mechatronic industrial systems, including hardware and software, ideally with industrial vision.
  • Scientific mindset, problem-solving skills, and familiarity with technical manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, provide technical support, and conduct user training.
  • Knowledge in metrology, optics systems, signal and image processing, sensors, automation, schematics, wiring, debugging, calculations, and mechanical design.
  • Familiarity with Windows OS and Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Fluency in English (minimum B2), proficiency in French, and German as an asset.
