Head of Finance - NORAM

We are seeking our next Head of Finance - NORAM to join our Finance Team. This role oversees all aspects of accounting and tax, including statutory accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, external audits, accounts receivable and payable, taxation, budgeting, forecasting, and developing internal control policies for Roquette entities in the US and Canada.

This position is based in our Geneva, IL office.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range is $161,818 - $219,010. This role may also be eligible for performance-based incentives. The final offer will depend on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee accounting and tax operations for all US and Canada entities.
  • Manage financial accounting processes, including reporting, tax, and audits.
  • Implement strong accounting controls to enhance efficiency and data reliability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support succession planning efforts.
  • Manage external audits and ensure legal compliance.
  • Analyze financial statements and advise executives.
  • Lead quarterly and year-end closing processes and prepare report packages.
  • Assist Treasury in monitoring debt levels and compliance.
  • Participate in special projects like ERP implementation and M&A integrations.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including 5+ years in public accounting.
  • Experience with international transactions and IFRS or US GAAP.
  • Proficiency with SAP is recommended.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Leading a team of 6+ members.

This role involves approximately 50% office work and 50% managing operations across locations.

Physical Demands:

Requires speaking, listening, standing, walking, and manual dexterity.

Position Type / Hours:

Full-time with flexible hours to meet business needs.

Travel:

20-30% domestic travel and about 10% international travel.
